Conveniently located in the lower portions of mid-Michigan, residents have access to major cities like Flint, Lansing, Ann, Abor, and Detroit via U.S. Highway 23. The area surrounding Fenton also provides facilities for skiing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and a wealth of other outdoor activities.

Another attractive quality about Fenton is that residents don’t need to go far to find anything that they need. Shopping is plentiful, with many big-named stores available at the Silver Parkway Shops. Historic Dibbleville in central downtown is home to specialty shops like The Iron Gate, Yesterday’s Treasures, and Fenton’s Open Book. Additionally, the North Leroy Shops offer favorites like the Fenton Winery & Brewery, Uncle Ray’s Dairyland, and The Quilter’s Garden.

The right climate controls are crucial throughout the year when living in Fenton. This is especially true during the winter, when conditions are cold with moderate snowfall. With temperatures that often don’t rise above freezing, residents should invest in the right gas or electric furnace, and these systems are often used well into the spring. However, once the weather warms up, these units may be turned off in favor of central air conditioning units at home. Regardless of the time of the year, HVAC technicians recommend that Fenton area residents have their heating and cooling systems evaluated to ensure optimal efficiency.
