About Birch Run, MI - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Birch Run, Michigan is a small village in Saginaw County. As of 2010, about 1,600 people called the community home. Birch Run was founded in 1852 and incorporated two years later. Today, many residents appreciate the close proximity of the village to other larger municipalities, allowing them to get all the amenities of big city while living in a small town. Flint is only about 20 miles south, while Lansing is about 70 miles southwest.

The small size of Birch Run doesn’t mean that there’s nothing to do here. In fact, shopping is especially popular at the Birch Run Premium Outlet Mall. This mall offers great deals at stores like Ann Taylor, Calvin Klein, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, Christopher & Banks Outlet, and many more. The Wilderness Trails Zoo opens each May and runs during the warmer seasons, and visitors with a passion for aviation may like to visit the Michigan Military and Space Heroes Museum. Other popular destinations include Alpine Mountain Golf, Emagine Birch Run, and Birch Run Township Park.

Like other communities within a humid continental climate zone, Birch Run experiences four distinct seasons throughout the year. Arguably the most extreme is the winter, which is cold and snowy. Each year the area receives about 48 inches of total snowfall, and frigid temperatures are also a concern. High temperatures in January often stay below freezing, but temperatures below zero are entirely possible. Area HVAC technicians can ensure that locals select the best gas or electric furnace for their property, which should include a good AFUE rating, sealed combustion, and a long warranty.

Summer weather in Birch Run is less dangerous, but it can still be uncomfortable without the right climate controls. Average daily highs in July surpass 80 degrees, but high humidity levels can make it feel even warmer. Many residents choose energy efficient central air conditioning units for their homes.
